چکیده

Background: Angiogenesis, which is the development of new capillaries from existing blood vessels, occurs in both developing embryo and postnatal life. The growth solid tumours requires micro vessels; therefore, tumour expansion correlates with extent angiogenesis. Methods: A prospective study was conducted on bone marrow trephine biopsies 40 cases acute leukaemia diagnosed complete count, aspiration examination, flow cytometry, including 20 control cases. Micro sections were stained immuno-histochemical stains using monoclonal antibodies to CD31, CD34 vWF. vessel density analysed at a 400× automated image analyser by two investigators independently. Data calculated, tabulated statistically statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) program version 18.Results: total 1522 vessels CD31 802 myeloid (AML), 512 lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) 208 group. microvessel (MVD) Von Willebrand factor (VWF) 70.83±20.76, 66.48±18.99 60.32±18.75 respectively while MVD lymphoblastic 62.74±21.09, 70.58±22.46 51.22±21.13 respectively. revealed significant difference between AML, ALL normal vWF antibody. Serum vascular endothelial (VEGF) concentration group 163.74±119.03, 168.23±154.22 43.45±9.14 respectively. Conclusions: Higher observed leukaemia. Present findings suggested potential significance characteristics as prognostic marker well its application improved selection patients anti-angiogenic other treatments.

Correlation Between Soluble Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor A, Its Receptor 1 And Response To Chemotherapy In Acute Leukemia In Children

Background and Objective: Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and its receptors (VEGF-R1 and R2) are major regulators of angiogenesis. This study was designed to assess serum levels of VEGF and VEGF-R1 and their prognostic significance in newly diagnosed childhood acute leukemia. Materials and Methods: For this purpose, VEGF and VEGF-R1 were determined using enzyme linked immuno-sorba...

Methodological Concerns Regarding Levels of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) in Serum of Women with Endometriosis

s:865:"We read with interest the manuscript entitled "Serum and peritoneal fluid levels of vascular endothelial growth factor in women with endometriosis" recently published in the International Journal of Fertility and Sterility (1). The authors measured the levels of vascular endothelial growth factor in serum and peritoneal fluid of 179 women, 90 of whom were diagnosed with endometriosis, an...

Diagnostic Value of Serum Levels of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor as a Marker of Tubal Pregnancy

Background and purpose: Tubal pregnancy is a life threatening condition that not only causes mortality but also reduces fertility by less than 50%. In many patients, the level of βhCG does not reach detection threshold, and for definite diagnosis, long-term follow-up considering βhCG titration and transvaginal ultrasonography are needed which could lead to delay in diagnosis and treatment. The ...

Serum levels of vascular endothelial growth factor in chronic Obstructive pulmonary disease

Background :Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a third leading cause of death.   Methods : In this case control study, we prepared 5 cc bloods from the antecubital vein of 100 COPD patients and 40 healthy individuals as control group. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression protein level was measured by ELISA in both groups.   Results : We found that concentration of...
